ABOUT THE BORRADAILLE HILLS IRISH WOLFHOUNDS
We have raised Australian Shepherds on our farm since 1990. Over the past decades we have used our dogs to work on the farm, competed in stock dog trials and boast the first Canadian bred Australian shepherd to compete in the Canadian bred working trial champion in 2000. Aussies continue to be an important part of our lives, and the three that we currently live with get along adorably with our two Irish Wolfhounds.
Borradaile Hill’s Irish Wolfhounds are located just outside Lloydminster, Alberta where the Wolfhounds get to enjoy a taste of country life on the Borradaile Hills family ranch. We are dedicated to producing the highest quality of Irish Wolfhounds with a focus on temperament, longevity, health, and structural soundness. We are proud members of the Irish Wolfhound Club of Canada as well as the Canadian Kennel Club. If you have any questions about us or our Irish Wolfhounds, we are happy to answer them for you!
MEET THE BREEDER
Owning an Irish Wolfhound has been a dream of Robyn’s since she was a veterinary student. Four years ago, the time was right for her to acquire Keely. Robyn a veterinarian alumnus from the University of Saskatchewan and has practiced for 34 years. She is currently an instructor at the Lakeland College in the Veterinarian technologist program where she has taught for over 25 years.
MEET KEELY
A dog owners dream
Owning an Irish Wolfhound has been a dream of Robyn’s since she was a University student. The time was right 4 years ago to acquire an outstanding wolfhound puppy form Hawkhaven Irish Wolfhounds. Keely has been a part of our family from the moment she tumbled out of the vehicle, a mess of puppy legs and feet stumbled her way into our hearts (Irish Wolfhound puppies are adorably clumsy). By 14 months Keely obtained her Canadian championship status and is now a Canadian Grand Champion.
She is a CKC Canine Good Citizen, and regularly participates in local ‘Reading Buddy’ school programs and senior enrichment programs. Keely has been bred from a long line of Irish Wolfhounds carefully selected for conformation, health, and longevity. Keely has had her hips and elbows radiographed and eyes cleared through the Orthopedic foundation of America (OFA). Her heart has been ultrasound and cleared for cardiomyopathy.
